Support Passing Stricter Tobacco Laws

December 14, 2023

My name is Mason Scheiern, and I am a member of the YAHL Leadership Team. This summer I went to the Youth Action for Health Leadership (commonly referred to as YAHL) leadership team summit to learn more about one of our campaigns, CounterAct Tobacco. I met with a couple of other YAHL leadership team members, and we walked around the streets of Oklahoma City collecting surveys from members of the community.

CounterAct Tobacco works to achieve comprehensive tobacco retail licensing. This would ensure that retailers who sell vapes and e-cigarettes must have licenses to sell them, making retailers less likely to sell vapes and e-cigarettes to the youth.

You should support us in our journey in passing stricter tobacco laws by filling out a survey, or signing a pledge card showing your support. We need your help in our mission to make sure our youth have less access to nicotine and tobacco products, which will reduce their chances of becoming addicted.
