Hello! My name is Chase Jones. I am a 2nd year YAHL Leadership Team Member. YAHL stands for Youth Action for Health Leadership. We are a program of TSET, and one of the campaigns we work on is CounterAct Tobacco. We are aiming for comprehensive tobacco retail licensing in Oklahoma to prevent nicotine addiction in teens. Personally, I see many kids at my school and around my town vaping, and they explain to me how easy it is for them to get vapes.
To get support for the campaign, we present at city council meetings, rotary clubs and even to legislators to advocate for tobacco retail licensing that includes vapes and nicotine products. At our meetings with city council members and community organizations, we collect support cards and use these cards as proof that people around Oklahoma support our movement. You can also help! With your support, we can create a healthier Oklahoma and prevent youth from becoming addicted to nicotine.
